| Elizabeth DeMar Mueller specializes in landscapes done on
location in the wilderness or other natural places where it is unspoiled
by human influences. She likes to put into her artwork the wonder
of the beauty of rocks, trees, plants, water, wild and domestic
creatures, and sky by using flowing colors working in a
realistic/impressionistic style.
This artist has always enjoyed doing linocuts to produce hand pulled
prints of creatures both wild and domesticated. Recently, woodcuts
have also become of great interest to the artist after she attended a
woodcut workshop at Beverley Street Studio School.
She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art in Boston,
Massachusetts and has taken courses in painting and/or sculpture at
University of Colorado, University of Maryland, Mary Baldwin College,
and the Beverley Street Studio School. She is a member of Co-Art
Gallery, the Shenandoah Valley Watercolor Society, the Central
Shenandoah Arts, and the Shenandoah Valley Art Center Inc., in
Waynesboro, where she has a studio. |
